La música de “La Isla Encantada”

La ópera “La isla encantada” es un experimento que revive la práctica del pasticcio, esto es la utilización de melodías ya existentes y de diversa proveniencia para musicalizar un libreto nuevo especialmente elaborado.

En su calidad de pasticcio, la partitura musical recurre a obras de ocho compositores del período barroco: Georg Friedrich Haendel, Antonio Vivaldi, Jean-Philippe Rameau, Jean-Marie Leclair, André Campra, Henry Purcell, Giovanni Batista Ferrandini y Jean-Fiéry Rebel.
